Event-based imaging of levitated microparticles

چکیده
Event-based imaging is a neurmorphic detection technique whereby an array of pixels detects positive or negative change in light intensity at each pixel, and hence particularly well suited to detecting motion. As compared standard camera technology, event-based reduces redundancy by not regions the image where there no motion, allowing increased frame-rates without compromising on field-of-view. Here, we apply detect motion microparticle levitated under vacuum conditions, which greatly facilitates study nanothermodynamics enables independent control arrays many particles.

Imaging enhanced energy transfer in a levitated aerosol particle
Energy transfer experiments are carried out at dilute concentrations of donors ~10 M , coumarine 334! and acceptors ~5310 M , sulforhodamine 101! in a levitated microdroplet ~diameter, 2a519 mm!, using an aerosol particle fluorescence microscope. Microphotographs in donor and acceptor luminescence show that the transfer mechanism is not of a Förster type, but is mediated by morphology dependent...
متن کاملLevitated droplet dye laser.
We present the first observation, to our knowledge, of lasing from a levitated, dye droplet. The levitated droplets are created by computer controlled pico-liter dispensing into one of the nodes of a standing ultrasonic wave (100 kHz), where the droplet is trapped. The free hanging droplet forms a high quality optical resonator. Our 750 nL lasing droplets consist of Rhodamine 6G dissolved in et...
